GPU (Graphics Processing Unit)
Graphics refers to images and videos. The common Central Processing Unit (CPU) is designed to handle a wide range of process types. In order to render clearer images faster, another chipset known as GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) was introduced.
The GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) is a specialized circuit designed to accelerate the image output in a frame buffer intended for output to a display.
GPUs were specifically designed for graphics and therefore is more suitable to handle graphics than a common CPU. Modern smartphones now come with an advanced embedded graphics processing unit.
Such a device can render images faster and with less processor involvement. This implies a faster phone, seamless game playing, clearer images and videos.
