The device is splash, water and dust-resistant with a rating of IP67 which means that the device can stay submerged for a maximum depth of 1 meter up to 30 minutes. iPhone XR comes powered by an A12 Bionic chip with a second-generation Neural Engine.

For imaging duties, the device has got a 12MP Wide camera with f/1.8 aperture. It supDigital zoom up to 5x. Some of the other features that the camera offers are portrait mode with advanced bokeh and Depth Control, Portrait Lighting with three effects (Natural, Studio, Contour), Optical image stabilization etc. The camera is capable of 4K video recording at 24 fps, 30 fps, or 60 fps, 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps or 60 fps and 720p HD video recording at 30 fps. At the front, there is a 7MP camera with f/2.2 aperture.
